The Gold Mine Hotel

We stayed in cabin 10. Fantastic night in Idaho City. Jessie and Steve at the Gold Mine restaurant were extremely friendly and welcoming. Great live music. Will definitely be back!

We have eaten here a few times and it's become our go to when we come to Idaho City. The food is delicious! So much better than average bar food. The burger and ribs were amazing! Pillowy potato roll and the ribs are fall of the bone with a perfect BBQ sauce! We have also stayed at the hotel in the Sacagawea room. It was so cozy. The bed was extra comfy and the decor was fabulous! Can't wait to visit again when they are playing live music!

Very clean, unique decor, and great restaurant/bar right next door!

We kind of got stuck in Idaho City after a week of fishing and traveling around Idaho and assuming we could get a room in Boise, but a major soccer tournament had all the rooms booked. I'll admit we were reluctant to look at the hotels in Idaho City. We ended up walking into the saloon in the same name, that is beside the hotel, to see about a room at the Gold Mine. I met the owner or man in charge, sitting at the bar with his laptop open and he signed us in real quick, everyone was super nice and he personally showed me to the room. I am a lifetime Diamond member with Hilton and stay in a hotel on average 120 nights a year and this room was as nice as any of them and larger than most. It had nice linens and towels, not your scrubby hotel standards, was quiet and we were very please. We went back to the saloon later for dinner and the BBQ was outstanding. Very pleasantly surprised and pleased at our stay at the Gold Mine in Idaho City and wouldn't hesitate to show back up!
