We had an amazing time. We spent one night and had a blast. The hotel is a historic building it was old but really clean. We did not see any ghosts put we had a few weird things happen around 3am😀
The dinner and breakfast was awesome. The people running this hotel was amazing.

If you want a great Adventure I totally recommend this hotel!

Talk about some history!! This hotel was fantastic. We didn’t stay but they do have a few room available. You can get lunch or dinner there as well. I love old buildings and this one was in my top 5. Stop by and check it out. The nice lady at the counter in the caffe told us some great stories. There’s also books on the tables with some of the history in them.

Stellar is a simple way to describe both this place and it's staff. So, this hotel is not your average place. It's 160 years old, in a ghost town, and running on (limited) solar power. That said, it is VERY important you set your expectations properly. This isn't the normal hotel, this isn't a Hilton Garden Inn, but it's something entirely different. No TV, essentially no WiFi (though I believe they have a mobile Hotspot in a pinch), and a place because of its HIGHLY remote and rustic nature that you need to bring a battery backup for your phone (there are essentially no electrical outlets). IMPORTANT NOTE: T-mobile and AT&T work up there, Verizon doesn't.

Now that we have that out of the way, this place is a piece of history run by some of the nicest people you could ask for. The town is only accessible 3 or 4 months a year and this is the only restaurant and hotel in the town. Dinner is reservation only and family style, but the food was fantastic. Amazing steak and potatoes one night followed by incredible pork loin the next night. The menu is planned in advance and you must reserve several days in advance. The staff truly cares about your comfort and did some great things to accommodate my friend recovering from recent dental surgery. It is rustic, old, and almost roughing it, but it's a special place with a special experience and a special group of people helping to preserve it. Prepare in advance, bring your hiking shoes, know that you have to ride on a dirt road over a mountain to get there (TAKE YOUR TIME AND BE SAFE)...but when you do all of that, you will know why my praise is so high and why you should not miss this place!!

P.S. Possibly the best natural tap water and unsweetened tea in Idaho.

Silver City has been a favorite place for many years. Love going up there occasionally just to walk around and enjoy the place and visit with people. I’ve always wanted to stay and eat in the hotel but haven’t yet. Love the history here!

We spent 2 days in the hotel for our anniversary in June. Because it's a historical site, the owners are very limited on what they can and can't repair. So if you're looking for Hilton or even Best Western comfort you won't find it here, it was cold and kind of spooky, which I found great because it was authentic. What was so cool was that it's historic and you can see all the rooms and how old they are. We met the owner and he told us stories about the building. There were a few minors there two and they had stories. We explore the town and even went into an old store. We took a horseback tour and it was amazing. So much fun and knowledge. We also went to a place full of crystals, road ATV's, explored old mines and even had a dog for company. Overall our experience was great. They even made meals for us. But be aware there aren't any restaurants so you meals will be expensive, but they have to bring up the food and hope people will order, so it's understandable.
