Went here for a Scotch Educational seminar and learned a lot about Scotch, but discovered Ina Mae Tavern!
We had the Arugula salad with pickled melon and char grilled oysters. The salad was very good and refreshing. The oysters were topped with a cheesy sauce and were very tasty.
This is the perfect place to enjoy a drink and New Orleans style food.
We want to come back here for the Po' Man's Seafood Tower (Shrimp, oysters, catfish, hush puppies, and crispy potatoes sounds like like a bargain at $36 for 2 or 3 people.
Delicious brunch food! I had the Crawfish scramble eggs and it was great. The vignette with their coffee was also a perfect end. Highly recommend this Louisiana inspired spot for it's chill atmosphere and quality food - if you like seafood you'll love the options here!
Had an amazing experience there last weekend at Brunch. The servers were very accommodating with our request to switch tables, and the food was delicious too.The seafood tower was flavourful and fried to perfection, shrimp and grits was tasty, and the butter on the chicken and waffles was edible on its own. Will definitely head there again with friends.
I came here for dinner and a drink. The hush puppies were delicious! Everything we ordered was very good and prices were reasonable. I will definitely go back.

Ina Mae is a New Orleans-inspired spot in Wicker Park. And while Southern restaurants in Chicago are often about as subtlely decorated as a town in Six Flags, this one is pretty understated. There's a large "Dixie Beer" stencil on the back wall, and a shelf full of empty wooden crates and some burlap sacks.
But at breezy younger sibling Ina Mae Tavern (named after Jupiter's great-grandmother), he dives headfirst into the home cooking of his childhood. The results are joyful, indulgent and refreshingly relaxed—traits that lure me back time and again to the Big Easy, and will surely make Ina Mae part of...

1415 N. Wood 773-360-8320 inamaetavern.com. There's a spooky ghost sign on the back brick wall at Ina Mae Tavern & Packaged Goods, a faded Dixie Beer logo that figuratively booms "Welcome to the Big Easy" in the overdrawn yat of a voice actor in a New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation...
