I enjoyed my stay at the Baymont. My travel buddy picked the location, for price considerations and because she'd had good experience with the chain before. There's a standard complimentary breakfast in the mornings. The room was clean and warm, and maid service kept things tidy, with fresh towels provided. There was free wi-fi (a mainstay in most places these days), and they were listed as pet-friendly. I didn't have any pets, but I liked that they were open on the subject.

Amazing experience! My fiance and I checked in late after a long day in Chicago, and the manager was super friendly. He bumped us up to a king sized bed for no extra charge without us even asking, and was all in all a very enthusiastic individual. The hotel was recently renovated, so everything was fairly nice. Not a 5 star hotel, and no hot tub, but for the relatively low price you can't beat it!
This place wasn't too bad. It got the job done for sleeping and getting going the next morning. I would compare it to a Super 8. Price was good, staff was very friendly. Would probably stay again.

When we got there, the staff member worked pretty hard in making sure he was friendly and accommodating. He explained which room we would be in and how to get there. I didn't have any issues with the staff.
As far as breakfast went; it was basic muffins, fruits, coffee, waffles, etc. No meat or eggs, but enough to get -something- in your stomach. The breakfast area was a little cramped/small, but it has an extra section added to it with more sitting room and a flat screen TV.
TVs in my room were the large boxy type. The TV remote did NOT control volume, nor did it turn the TV on and off, but you could input the channel you wanted (i.e. you could not scroll channels up and down, you had to input them). I bought my own cleaner to clean out the jacuzzi tub. It looked like it had been cleaned enough to look clean, but there were small things like hair and stuff that revealed itself in my washing. Plenty of towels. Old style microwave that did not rotate, did include a refrigerator and humidifier that was not plugged in. Not sure if it worked or not, but it was there.
There was wireless internet; it wasn't too bad in terms of speed and easy to connect to.
Overall if you're looking for something pretty fancy then you need to go up a star. If you need a nice place to sleep while visiting the city, then this isn't too bad with great service.
