It's very difficult to find a reliable transmission shop with people you can trust to do the job they say they are going to do. I found this place browsing online. I called the shop and talked with Kim who runs the office. After talking with Kim who I felt was knowledgeable and made me feel that my 2001 Honda Civic would be repaired right. I made it clear that I wanted the car safe to drive for my young daughter who needs it to drive to and from school. She reassured me that the car would be taken care of. They came to pick my car up from my house in Arlington Heights, no charge for the tow. I knew it was the transmission because the gears were slipping and it had over 180,000 miles on the car. I waited a few days for the repair. They also found oil leaking from my oil drain plug and from the oil pan gasket. They also recommended that the torque converter be replaced because of contamination of old fluid and metal shavings. Whatever they recommended to have the car running right, I had them repair it. The cost of the repairs, I thought were reasonable. When the repairs were completed. Dominic, the owner came to pick me up from my house because I did not have a ride to the shop at the time. How many shops would have this kind of personal service for their customers. Not many I bet. Anyway, my Civic is running great. I have over 190,000 miles on the car now. Dominic and his crew did a great job rebuilding my transmission. I finally found a transmission/mechanic shop that does quality work at a fair price. Thank You again, Artemus
