  In November 2017, I started having severe nerve pain in my head. The pain was so intense, I would wake up crying at night. I went to urgent care and was told I had occipital neuralgia (the nerve that runs from my spine into my head was either pinched or damaged). Urgent care had no good solution. They gave me a steroid and told me to take over the counter pain meds. The steroid helped, but as soon as I was finished with them, the pain returned. I felt helpless. I decided to do some research on the condition and how to fix it. I came across a video that had a chiropractor stating that he could fix this problem. This was just what I needed. However, I found out he was located in Colorado. I am in Illinois. I decided not to give up. I looked up several chiropractors in the area and found Dr. Joseph Riggio with Itasca Health & Chiropractic. Upon my first visit, he was VERY thorough. He was straight forward with his diagnosis and the treatment that lies ahead. He told me it will be painful, but it will be worth it. We will trade pain for wellness. I have to say, the treatment was indeed quite painful, BUT it worked. Within 2 months, I was completely pain free. Even the treatment itself didn’t hurt anymore. I felt like a new woman.
  If the patient is interested, Dr. Riggio also will discuss leading a healthy lifestyle. He has a wealth of wonderful supplements that help heal and nourish the body. With great hesitation, he convinced me to try a 30 day detox. I was terrified. I am happy to report that I followed the detox to the letter and have lost 19 lbs. within the 30 days. I am still losing weight and have no desire for fatty, greasy, unhealthy foods. It is just not appealing to me anymore. I would highly recommend this detox for anyone that wants to jumpstart a healthy lifestyle. It was much easier than I thought it would be.
  Dr. Riggio is amazing. He really knows his stuff. I highly recommend him to anyone who is serious about fixing their issue and not just putting a Band-Aid on it. His assistant Megan is pretty awesome too. Always happy to help and answer any questions.

  Started seeing Dr. Riggio almost 3 years ago due to severe spinal pain and damage. He has changes my quality of life tremendously. I had been to a few other Chiropractors with minimal to no results. As recent as 31 days ago I finally listened to him and did the 31 day Detox Program. Results I received after today's end of program exam are incredible. I went from 192 Lbs. a month ago to 175 Lbs. and my blood work from my annual medical checkup came back with the lowest cholesterol levels ever recorded on my medical doctor's records, including lowered back to normal blood sugar levels. I highly recommend Dr. Riggio
  to anyone who wants to change the way they live, eat or deal with pain.

  Dr. Joe Riggio is a very professional, knowledgeable chiropractor with many years of experience. On my first visit he performed a thorough evaluation of my symptoms, tested my flexibility, strength, posture and presented me with a treatment plan that includes adjustments, home exercises, healthy diet, supplements and the use of various exercise equipment in the office. I have been under his care for a few months and made a tremendous improvement.
  I am able to function without low back pain and symptoms of sciatica at least 90% of time. I am very happy and satisfied with the caring and professional treatment...I highly recommend Dr.Riggio and Itasca Health and Chiropractic!

  Dr. Joe did a great job helping me with chronic wrist pain and lower back pain. He also led me to a detox program that helped me lose 15 pounds and set me up for better eating decisions for the rest of my life. He also has great and affordable machines that helped my mother strengthen her knees. I strongly recommend Dr. Joe for both chiropractic issues and for better health!

  I've been seeing Dr. Riggio for over 5 years. He truly cares about your health, not just from a manipulation stand point.
