I came to Dr.Durkin for a second opinion and so glad I did. He has gone above and beyond since day one and made me feel so comfortable with proceeding with my knee replacement. He’s a very compassionate, caring doctor and really listens to his patients concerns. His team is also very caring and all make you feel very comfortable. I had my surgery with Dr. Durkin 6 weeks ago and would highly recommend anyone pursuing a knee replacement to make an appointment with him, you won’t be disappointed. I had my left knee replaced by Dr. Durkin 3 years ago. Dr. Durkin uses the Mako Robot to give a personal knee replacement. The procedure was 55 minutes long. I was fully confident going into surgery, mostly because I knew that Dr. Durkin was teaching surgeons in many parts of the country how to do this procedure. I worked very hard at rehab, ensuring that I combined the surgery with a lot of proactive rehab afterward. Within two and 1/2 months, my knee was completely serviceable. Who do you think I had an appointment with this morning? My right knee needs to be replaced. Cortisone will be effective for now, but you can bet on the fact that this surgeon will be the surgeon to replace my right knee.
