Gerald Subaru of Naperville

Cynthia was very helpful and really worked to find the right fit for our needs, wants, and budget. I had many late evening and weekend calls/emails (over many weeks) with questions to Cynthia. When we finally went to the dealership to sign all of the paperwork Mike was very laid back and friendly. He took us for a short drive in our soon to be new car on their multi-terrain course to showcase the Subaru Outback's capabilities. In the end, the out the door price for our vehicle was nearly $10k less than our local Subaru dealership and includes a lifetime powertrain warranty for peace of mind. I highly recommend this dealership.

I bought a car from them 6 months ago and overall the process was mostly painless. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they did a good job answering our questions. Their sales aren't high pressure from what I can tell. The finance office is where they try to sell you add ons which is fine, but I wish they would give you these items earlier on so you can do your research, but the idea is to sell you these on the spot. All the prices are negotiable and I would pass on them all, this is where the sales pitch really came in which was annoying. Gerald also tacks on dealer installed items with all their cars as a separate line items such as door edge protection, wheel locks, VIN etching, and nitrogen tires. These are all high profit for a dealership but have little to no utility for the owner and really cheapen the Gerald experience. It is a straight cash grab with these. The service department seems fine. Their pricing is standard for a dealership. They do everything by appointment. Expect an hour for an oil change with an appointment which seems normal from my experience.

I have bought quite a few cars over the past few years but Kelly Thomas has been the friendliest and most helpful sales consultant I have worked with. She doesn't try to care for her customers, she actually does care for her customers which makes all difference. We had a few minor road bumps along the way during our car buying experience but Kelly helped us navigate them in the best possible way. Everything worked out great towards the end and we are super happy with our sparkly new Forrester!

Eddie O was wonderful to work with. He made the the process very simple and enjoyable! He has a welcoming personality and definitely made the car buying experience only the best. I am elated to be part of the Subaru family.

Rudy Burkhalter in your service dept made the difference. It was my 1st time @ Gerald, of ANY kind, and he was very professional and gracious. He was warm and welcoming. Furthermore, I had to leave my car there all week and the only way I could communicate with him was over e-mail. And he did so quickly, efficiently and effectively! THANKS RUDY. 5 star experience.
