  I am a member, newly returned. I drifted away long before our current pastor was in place, and came back at the invitation of a dear friend. I was welcomed in without hesitation or question. I was embraced by the entire congregation including pastor who had just met me. This church is more than its pastor. This church has a special closeness and inclusivity that I have not found elsewhere.
  That being said, I don't know Nancy well, yet. I do look forward to getting to know her better. Her sermons, thus far, have been intellectually as well as theosophically stimulating. I really shouldn't even have to say that; as I suggested above, this is supposed to be a review of the church, whose pastor can and has changed. But I felt prompted to do so by the personal post placed several days ago. Shame on that poster for airing personal laundry here. I hope Google removes it...and then you call wonder what the heck I'm going on about!
  Bottom line: If you want to be noticed and welcomed and valued, this church is worth checking out!

  I'm so impressed with the passion this congregation has for leadership in environmental work! The green fairs they host are awesome. The service they give to those experiencing homelessness is the kind of work usually undertaken by much larger congregations! And Rev. Nancy Rethford's energy and passion and love of God and people amazes me.

  I have been attending for 2 ½ years and finally formally joined the congregation Sunday. Very friendly folks especially Pastor Nancy. Their strong commitment to PADS (homeless) is what attracted me to this church.

  The services were all inclusive, a very friendly feeling. The Pastor was very welcoming. I was asked to share some of my Native American culture with the parishioners. I was welcomed by the whole congregation with an open mind and heart. The word and teachings of the Creator were shared.

  Although not a member of this church, I have been connected to them having used this space for a food co-op, book sale, finance class, and PADS volunteering. I have found the staff to be sincerely warm and inviting and the Pastor to be gracious and welcoming. What I am most impressed by is the "tiny but mighty" way they serve the people of their community. There is no pretense about it. The staff here is called to serve whomever the Lord places before them. What is truly beautiful is that they serve with intention and integrity. I am grateful to have met these women. They have enriched my faith life in their beautiful outreach and witness to all they encounter.
