(January 12, 2019, 2:17 am)Very cool place to explore. Sometimes the trail in the bog is flooded. So.you can't walk it. But the hiking trail is always good. Big area to picnic. Plenty of parking. Makes a nice day out with the family.

(September 26, 2018, 2:57 pm)Gorgeous place! There are so many different paths for hiking and exploring. If you are interested in ecology, many plants and animals can be found here that are rare elsewhere in the state. Volo doesn't appear to have much, but this is surely a best kept secret.

(July 29, 2018, 4:42 pm)Really cool morning walk. Floating walkways right they the layers of growth. Avoid twilight, this has to be a mosquito factory. Frog heaven. I enjoyed the nature walk so much. Museum was closed, still a good stop. Best thing in Illinois this summer.
