(January 30, 2019, 8:16 am)Snowshoeing on the trails. Awesome view of the Fox river. My only wish the trail maps were a little more detailed. A red dot to let you know know that "you are here" One map, north was down.

(January 5, 2019, 6:32 pm)Paper wasp nest. Red oak is great place for children all ages. Fish snakes turtles. Its free for everyone. Dock over looking river trails walking and bike.

(December 27, 2018, 9:18 pm)Cool place- definitely worth visiting. The nature center is really nice and recently renovated. It has some cool live animals as well. The whole thing is on a beautiful property- it's my favorite area to run through.

(September 11, 2018, 8:07 am)Nice nature center nestled in the woods. Indoor section has a small assortment of snakes, turtles, frogs and other native woodland animals. Nice outdoor hiking paths with nice overlook of Fox River. Short (1/4 mile) walk to a small cave near the river as well.

Red Oak Nature Center many times but never at a convenient time to stop. I found my self kid free on a Friday afternoon and in some serious need of alone "me" time (in hopes of clearing my head) I decided on a nature walk at Red Oak Nature Center and what a gem it is!!! Just a 12min drive from my condo and it was as if I was in a fairy forest.
