(February 24, 2019, 12:06 pm)TJ's is a hidden gem along Hwy 20 in Elgin. I have been there numerous times and each visit has been consistently great, regardless of the size of the crowd. The bartenders are great people with excellent knowledge about beer, wine, etc. The wait staff is always friendly and the food is consistently good. The sports bar atmosphere is great year-round.

(January 27, 2019, 3:41 pm)Gave 4 stars because the food is really good each time we've visited. Great beer selection, too. However, the service is very hit or miss. Twice it's been great and 3 times it's been terrible. Had to go to bar for silverware and drinks b/c server dropped off food and never returned. Another time, had to go ask server for check (after sitting at table for 15 minutes after everyone was finished eating). Recommended sitting at the bar... that's where we've had the best service.

(December 2, 2018, 9:19 am)Burger was cooked perfect. Great combination of BBQ and onions on it. Bourbon and Blue was perfect as well. Great atmosphere, love the bleacher seats. Highly recommend this local place.
