The waterfall is very close to the parking lot, which is nice if u aren't up for a long walk. It's very pretty, as is the preserve it's in & the river next 2 it
Great visit
How is it that so few know about this place!?
This water/forest preserve has steep slopes, flat walks, a boardwalk across two small water streams, grass paths, gravel paths, access to the Sterns Road biking trail, bird sighting, benches, deer crossings, and a parking lot to top it all off!
Doing all trails can be completed in a mere hour, and while bikes aren't allowed, dogs and joggers of course are.
Great place to take a short walk through a prairie and hear the water trickling through the fen. Great variety of native plants. Make sure to bring your own water and pack out any garbage you have.
Brand new natural area with nice trails, presumably for dogs because bikes are not allowed. Has a nice parking lot and everything is wheelchair accessible. No bathrooms or water, only trails and parking.
