Dr. Mitchell always takes the time to listen and explain everything to me. She is a great doctor. She is also great at recommending other providers that might be able to help with other issues but also isn’t overly pushy about it. Everyone in their office is very friendly and I’ve never had to wait longer than a few minutes in their waiting room.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Mitchell's practice. Just walking through the door into her waiting room is enough to tell you you're in a true healing environment. Dr. Mitchell has been a physician for at least 30 years. She was trained at Rush, a highly regarded medical school and academic medical center in Chicago. In addition to being highly educated, trained, and experienced in conventional medicine, she is extremely knowledgeable about holistic and functional medicine. She is also very intuitive and spiritually grounded. She really understands what healing the body, mind, and spirit actually means. She is the most compassionate, caring physician I have ever met - a true healer. She will meet you where you are in your health journey, with kindness and sensitivity. But she will also challenge you to grow (or maybe that was just me, since I made it clear that's what I wanted).
I guess I talked up her intuition too much to my husband. He finally met her after I had a serious health diagnosis. He came to an appointment with me and she spent part of the office visit explaining the pathology report to us. After we left the office he said, "She's really a good doctor!" I think he had been expecting her to be wearing a purple turban and chanting mantras at us.
If you just want some drugs to put a bandaid on your symptoms, Dr. Mitchell isn't for you. But if you want a wise, grounded physician-healer to guide you on your healing journey, she's it.
