  Great area to spend extra time. Walking the trail my wife and I spooked a deer that was, napping I assume, laying down in some tall grass. The deer, 30 feet away, which was hidden by the tall grass jumped up and gave us a good shock to the old ticker. We had a stare off for 5 mins before it galloped off in the opposite direction. You'll see all kinds of birds from small finches to large cranes. And Landscape is another thing to keep your eye occupied. It is very tranquil area to spend time, recenter yourself, then take on the rest of the day

  Nice peaceful place to walk. Mostly gently rolling hills. Crushed gravel path. Garbage cans and benches placed sporadically along the path. Only about 15% of the path is tree covered, the rest is out in the open. There is a lovely lake and dock with beautiful views if you want a rest. The primary loop is 1.1 miles but if you take the spur to Miller Road and back you can add another 1.1 miles. At the parking lot they have picnic tables, an outhouse, a post to hitch your horses, and an old fashioned hand water pump.
