My first experience with Power In Motion was in 2011, when I took my son to see Cindy. He had been in a car accident, and 6 months later he was still having trouble focusing in school and retaining what he was reading. A friend of mine suggested I try Power In Motion, and that was the beginning of his path to full healing. Cindy's treatment was exactly what he needed. She listened and tailored her approach to his unique needs. She also connected us to a developmental optometrist she works closely with, and the two of them worked as a team to help my son. I cannot overstate the impact of this team approach to his care. He now reads without struggle, and his grades and ACT score are excellent.
Shortly after all of this, I myself ended up seeing Cindy for a nagging running injury. Her techniques alleviated my pain and helped me get back to proper gait. She has also worked closely with another health care provider to eliminate migraines I had had for years.
I am grateful for Power In Motion and their genuine care for me and for each and every person that walks through their front door. You will never feel like you're just a number or like you're being run through the mill with this group. These people represent everything excellent health care should be. My young son suffered a brain injury when he fell 10 feet through a hole. His recovery was slow, and six months later we kept noticing that he just wasn't the same little boy since the accident. Physically he was all healed or so it seemed. We met with every specialist including pediatric neurologists who kept telling us that they couldn't seem to pinpoint what was wrong and that everything seemed to be OK. We knew he wasn't. We met with Cindy Powers who evaluated our son and immediately knew something was wrong. She worked with him over the course of three months and slowly but surely our son's personality returned. She worked wonders. She treated his whole body, mind and spirit. We can't thank her enough for listening to our concerns, restoring our son's cheerful disposition, and helping him through his injuries! It has been a little shy of a year since we last saw her, and he has been perfect ever since! The atmosphere at Power in Motion was calming for him and us! She had many children's movies for him to watch during his therapy session with her. We don't know what we would have done if it hadn't have been for her!
I highly recommend Power in Motion and Cindy Powers. I have been seeing her for 10 years. She is a very skilled and medically intuitive physical therapist, using gentle, yet powerful techniques. Cindy has literally helped me return to work and return to life after numerous injuries, falls, and surgeries. I now enjoy a wonderful, active life and am able to get on the floor and play with my 3 grandsons, enjoy travel, and realize my dream career as an energy healer. Cindy Powers is awesome! She is able to find connections between one's current pain and past experiences/incidences or present lifestyle that you always knew but never realized, and then address the real source of the pain issue to make a lasting change. I have never left her office without feeling an immediate improvement in pain, posture and mobility.
She is also extremely connected to other experts in the health industry. This not only makes her a tremendous resource for all your health needs, but it also speaks volumes about her strong standing in both communities of health, the scientific and the holistic, communities which often disagree with one another.
Personally, I have been seeing Cindy for about 20 years now. Previously, I had been treated by many others in the field, but none of them compared to her expertise. Now, my whole family goes to her, and we love her tremendously!
At the age of 45 I experienced a horrible fall off a three story building, while trying to break my fall I extending my arm prior to impact, this broke my arm in five places, (see attached pic in photo section). I have always been very careful in choosing my doctors/surgeons and physical therapists so it took me 2 weeks before I found a surgeon with the confidence and experience to put me back together, during this 2 week time I also sought out a physical therapists that also offered both the confidence and experience I was looking for (Power In Motion). Other surgeons and therapists told me to only expect 30-40% use of that arm at best due to the numerous breaks/steel plates and screws required. This was unacceptable which is what drove me to take my time and select the team I choose. I now have 95+% use of the arm which I directly contribute to the Surgeon and Power In Motion, I cannot say enough to show my gratitude to Power In Motion for the time and care they put into my recovery and therapeutic work. The old statement of "no pain no gain" did not apply to Power In Motion, they suggested many additional ways I could help myself speed up recovery and they took the time to make sure I received the proper push and care required. As a profession I am an Engineering Manager and do not make decisions without all the facts and track records to back them up, I want to say whole heartedly I recommend "Power In Motion" you will not regret your decision.
