I was born with a fairly severe curvature of the spine (scoliosis). As a result, and because I sit at a desk all day for my job, I used to have frequent back pain. I was told years ago that if I didn’t have two vertebrae fused together and rods and pins put in my back, that the pain would only get worse. I was afraid to do something so drastic, and so I didn’t do anything, and the pain did get worse. My friend had whiplash from a car accident and told me about her positive experience going to a chiropractor, so I thought I would try it when I was having a particularly severe episode of sciatica. I could barely walk, and the pain woke me up every night. I was really hurting. I saw on Dr. Molloy’s website that he had experience with scoliosis, so I made an appointment, not knowing what to expect. Everyone in the office was low-key and genuinely friendly, and talked to you like a human being with a brain, not just another patient to be dealt with as quickly as possible – how refreshing! Dr. Molloy took an X-ray and showed me where the source of the pain was, in a way that made sense and that I could understand. I started going for treatment first every other day or so, then twice a week, then once a week, and over the course of about 8 or 10 weeks or so, without my even realizing it, the pain just receded until it was gone! And it stayed pain free! No surgery or drugs, which was a huge reason why I tried chiropractic treatment with Dr. Molloy before trying other harsher, more invasive solutions. I can work in my garden, go cross-country skiing, carry heavy groceries up the stairs – anything I want to do, pain-free – and I don’t think any of that would have been possible had I not gone to Dr. Molloy first when I was experiencing severe back pain. He literally gave me my life back!
