Teachers are always communicating with us. Such an AWESOME group of educators, & loving ladies. Although this is my first time working with Sandbox. I couldn't be happier with the results.
We couldn't be happier with Sandbox! Our son started in the teeny threes room and he loved it from the beginning! He was excited to go to "school", meet new friends, and learn from his teachers. Currently, our son is in Jr. Preschool/daycare. We are constantly amazed at how much he is learning! He has developed a love of books and "reading". He also learns about math, abc/letter sounds, calendar, social studies, science, and even good manners! I am also very pleased that the Sandbox teachers reinforce positive behavior with a Caught Being Good program as well as classroom jobs. I have no doubt that he will be ready for Kindergarten when it is time! Our daughter is currently in the Infant room. Like most parents, we were very nervous to leave our little baby in someone else's hands! However, the transition was by far, hardest on us as parents! Our daughter is extremely well taken care of. It warms my heart to see the teachers smile, hug, and even kiss my baby girl! We know that while we are at work she is being loved and well cared for. We would highly recommend Sandbox (Homer Glen) to anyone looking for quality child care and Preschool.
Being a full time working mom, it was a very scary decision to look for a daycare center to take care of my first baby. There were 2 things that were extremely important to me. I wanted to make sure that it was close to home and that it would provide the full time care that I would give my baby if I couldn't be with her. Sandbox Homer Glen wasn't too far from my house, but it was right on the way to work, so I thought I would start with them. I had also noticed that they were open until 6:30pm which is perfect for me because I work until 5:30pm. I spoke with some friends, and all had heard great things about Sandbox, so I decided to call. My visit was amazing. I had the feeling right away that I would be able to leave my baby girl there an not worry. I decided to reserve my spot at only 23 weeks pregnant! Well little did I know that only 5 weeks later I would give birth to my little girl. One of the first places I contacted was Sandbox because I didn't want to lose my spot. The response I received was overwhelming from them. They told me not to worry and they would accomodate us with whatever we needed. And they did!! When my daughter first started, she was on an apnea monitor, and they didn't even blink twice. They sent me pictures of her from her first day just to let me know she was doing okay. They have sat with my husband and I and have discussed her growth and development. They have shared milestones (she rolled over for the first time with them) with us. I don't know if there is anything that I could put into words of how much I love this place. It doesn't matter where you go, daycare isn't cheap, but I go to work with a peace of mind every day that I know I'm getting much more than my money's worth at Sandbox.
When we were looking for daycare for our first child, we asked colleagues, friends, and neighbors and one name kept coming up: Sandbox. My wife and I went in for a visit and immediately knew Sandbox was the right choice for our family. Sandbox is a community of adults that love to teach and care for children. The caring and teaching is evident in every classroom, from the peacefulness of the infant room to the joy of being in the "I can write my name club." Now, almost four years after that first visit, the Sandbox staff is part of our family. I can't imagine letting anyone else care for my two children.
