Great day at Founders Park on Christmas eve afternoon. Lots of fun rocks to climb and slides for our grandson. He really enjoys this park as it is geared to the smaller child. Merry Christmas!
Pretty nice park. It has a large playground suitable for mixed ages. There are sand pits, soccer fields, and a large covered pavilion with restrooms, water fountains, and rocking chairs. There appeared to be some trails, but I did not go on them.
A great park! There is a large amount of climbing equipment at this playground. There is also a sand river going through the middle of the playground. I appreciate the several shady spots scattered around the perimeter. There is also a covered area with picnic tables and restrooms. There are even a few big rocking chairs to sit in! The turn off can be a bit hard to spot from Hazel Dell, in my opinion. But other than that, I love bringing my kids to this park.
Very nice park that is still evolving. Great playground for toddlers. Couple of soccer / lacrosse fields. Nice covered pavilions and clean restrooms. The pond is nice and attracts a good variety of birds. The city also does a great job with the wildflower plantings throughout the park. The wild flowers attract an even greater variety of birds as well as lots of butterflies and other insects. The paved walking trail around the perimeter is very nice as well.
We really like Founder's park. My girls enjoy the littler playground, the trails in the woods and the sand. There is nice, covered pavilion with tables, restrooms and a drinking fountain. That said, if you have a child that elopes, this playground is a nightmare. There are several exits and only a low wall between the play structure and the parking lot.

Founders Park is so much fun to play in the sand. Bring sand toys, trucks, and diggers. It's common for kids to play with one another's toys, which isn't a problem for us until it's time to go and the toys are scattered all over the playground and picnic area.
