Foot & Ankle Specialists of Indiana Dr. Mieasha Hicks Barksdale

My personal experience with Foot & Ankle Specialist was exceptional. I had an injury to my big toe nail that was at risk for not growing back properly. From the start appointments were available quickly. When I arrived, filled with anxiety, I was warmly greeted by Jenna and Kelly. They were ready for me and the location was cozy. Jessica got me set up in one of the rooms and Dr. Marshall was quick to come in and see me. She listened to my experience, my desired actions for that appointment, and we made decisions together on what would be best to treat the injured toenail.

She made recommendation and we decided to remove part of the toenail which required and numbing shot. Though I agreed, my nerves spiked and I semi-jokingly asked for a hand to hold. Dr. Marshall heard me and she called Jenna and Kelly into the room. They held my hand, kept me calm and made me laugh. This was all so appreciated and made the experience great.

As a follow-up, I received two hand written thank you notes that were personalized to some of the conversation we had during the appointment. Again, the personal touch coupled with great service was appreciated.

This was an extremely great experience for me! The staff was helpful and nice. I was in so much pain during my appointment and the Dr. and staff took care of me in a quick and respectful fashion. This has been my best overall visit to any Dr. ever! I will recommend them to my last day! Thank you all very much for all the help and for being the best team in the business!

Every member of the staff, from the front desk team to the nurses to the doctor have been so friendly! They made my daughter feel at ease when she had to get an ingrown toenail treated. We will happily recommend them to our friends!

Dr.Barksdale has operated on both my daughters- one at 13 years old in 2017 and the other this year- and she was 8, couldn’t ask for a better Dr. for them! My younger one couldn’t even walk long enough last year to go trick or treating without pain and yesterday she ran a 5k!!!! In 58 minutes and NO PAIN!!! Just so proud of our little one and happy for her. We appreciate Dr. Barksdale so much and her staff as well, they’re all tremendous!!! 👏

Dr. Barksdale has a fantastic staff. They are so professional and caring. I had a bad arthritis flare up and she took me right in and provided treatment immediately. I have had a great experience with her not wanting to just operate initially. She has helped me work through my foot issues and still maintain an active lifestyle. She is so helpful to explain what is going on with my foot and how to help it through exercise and stretching. This may not be what you are suffering with , however whatever you have she will help you. I feel so blessed to have this surgeon and physician in our community. If you have issues below your knees she is your go to Doc.
