  My mom was in this facility for almost 3 years and she was treated great. We never had to worry about her getting hurt by one of the staff or by another resident's. When we visited her the doctor's and nurses were always extremely friendly and if we had any questions or concerns they were right there to help us. The facility was always very clean and working. All the employees from the front of the building to the back where my mom was were always extremely friendly. We had my mom in another facility here in town
  before we brought her here and I am so glad we did transfer her. The other facility is a joke when it comes to taking care of the residents.

  No nuring home is perfect, but I found this facility to stand out. 35 years ago I worked with state surveyor's and did phlebotomy at numerous sites. GL Brandywine stands out. My mother and father were there and he died a couple of years ago. Mom died yesterday. There was a genuine affection for her there and they were affected by her passing. A couple of times I called to speak with her and she would forget and put the phone down. I would put my phone on speaker and just listen for as long as a half hour. These events told a tale as I heard her and other residents talk happily and heard staff walking around speaking with residents in very positive gentle ways including conversations. They were so sweet during her passing and came by to tell their stories of her. I have a few negatives but they pale in comparison to the positives. And bad staff did not last long there. No where is perfect, but GL Brandywine was as good as it gets and we have been more than pleased with their care.
