Okay buckle up for a long story that will explain how incredible this shop is.
I have a Canon 50mm 1.4 that randomly stopped focusing on me and we took it to Bob's shop. We were having trouble finding it since it's down a gravel road between some soccer fields - but after calling and getting directions we found it just fine. Bob attached it to a camera body to test it out and oddly enough it was focusing fine. He then took the time to explain what sometimes happens with those lenses and why they lock up. Even though nothing was wrong with my lens, Bob took the time to look at it, test it, and explain the potential issue I had. I tried to pay him for his time but he wouldn't let me, he said that I should just tell my friends about his shop. So listen, this place has my business for life. They treated me like I was an old friend and never spoke down to me. Bob is clearly a master repairman and I will be sending him my gear next time I have something that needs repaired - I highly recommend you do the same.
I was pleasantly surprised with the location of this repair center. It’s owned by a sweet couple who do this out of passion.
I had a minor issue with my Nikon D610 and it was fixed in a minute (that’s me being a noob). The couple who run this place are very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend Bob's camera repair shop. True story... I just picked up my 17-55mm f/2.8 Canon lens which Bob had repaired. He said someone worked on this before because they had a metal screw that was for plastic screwed into a metal machined thread and vice versa. The head of the screws look the same, but the threads are different.
It was a repair that Canon did a few years ago that cost $350. I was without my lens for 3 weeks because I had to send it in.
And to think...Canon didn't even get it put back together right and charged over 3 times what Bob did.
I am a photography instructor and I've had students use Bob for other repairs this year. They also said he was very good and very reasonable.

They provide service that is both professional AND personal, and the work is done in a timely manner. Their "customer service staff" is the owner, so your questions are answered by the person doing the repairs. Much more reasonably priced and efficient than sending your camera back to the manufacturer.
