  Hands down, the best Italian beef sandwich I've ever had. People have claimed to have had a better one, but I'm not buying it. I think those people are stupid and don't know what good food really is. I've tried "others" that have claimed to be better. Only to reconfirm the fact that Portillo's has the best beefs on the planet. Want to have your mind blown... order a piece of chocolate cake. Yes, it's the best chocolate cake on the planet!!! No, I don't want to try one somewhere else, because you think it's better. (I would actually try it, because I love cake, but I know it's not better than Portillo's chocolate cake.) Want to have your mind explode... order the chocolate cake shake. They literally, put a piece of cake in your shake and it is heaven in the form of a shake. I think they may have gotten the recipe from God himself.

  I love Portillo's. There is not a single hot dog place I've been that has better hot dogs. The pickles they use on the hot dogs are also really good. The fries are better than most places as well. My favorite part about coming here though is the creative "order is ready" things they say. They always make me smile a little.
  
  Admittedly, they are pretty slow with getting orders out. I just had to wait 25 minutes for a couple hot dogs and fries.

  Delicious, fresh Italian beef sandwiches are served each time I visit Portillo's. You can have them dipped, with sweet and or hot peppers. They offer hot dogs, chili, chicken sandwiches, burgers, sausages, meatless sandwiches, and twelve kinds of salads. They also have soups, and cakes, but not a lot of dessert options. Portillo's also is available to do party catering packages, and they take orders for pick up. They also are now serving ribs at twenty locations. I include a tamale with each of my orders, they're delicious!

  Fabulous! A friend of mine who is from Chicago has been telling me about this place for years. I have never been to Chicago (all over the world, but never to my neighboring state!) Until recently. I have eaten Portillo's twice in the last week and it have been simply amazing both times. Super cool and fun place to either eat or wait for your take out. Music and atmosphere are awesome! Eat an Italian beef and sausage combo dipped in their special gravy next time you are anywhere near a Portillo's!
