(September 19, 2018, 9:50 am)Our family first looked into Visiting Angels to assist my parents with some tasks they were no longer able to perform comfortably and safely in their home, such as changing sheets, baking or cooking a meal, driving to appts and errands. Their angel, Karen, soon became more than a helper, she became a real friend. Socialization is an important part of a healthy life, and homebound seniors often lack this necessary element, particularly when family members are spread across the country. When chores were completed, Karen tended to my parents' emotional needs by visiting with them, listening to their stories, looking at their newest photos, or assisting in one of their favorite pastimes...jigsaw puzzles. On several occasions, Visiting Angels was able to provide additional angels to help with transportation when they were unable to schedule appointments on Karen's regular days. The service Visiting Angels provided enabled my parents to live independently in their own home for longer than they otherwise could have. We found the office staff to be very considerate and caring as well, phoning family members to share a concern, or to inquire about our parents during a hospitalization, or while they were away visiting us. They gave us the feeling that our parents were not just clients, or customers, but truly extended family.

(August 15, 2018, 3:10 pm)Visiting Angels was a great help to my mother. Our caregiver treated her like family and provided excellent care. My mother has since passed away due to her heaIth problems, but I don't know what we would have done without Visiting Angels. It was a very difficult time and I needed assistance. I highly recommend their services.
