  We enjoyed our stay at the Spring House Inn and would definitely stay there again primarily because of its location. it is in a rather rural location with woods all along the back side. Far from any interstates and traffic. I imagine the place was wonderful when it was in its prime but lack of maintenance over the years is apparent. Fortunately there is also plenty of evidence that new management is restoring the place, new carpeting in the hallways, new mattresses. It was very clean and quiet and the staff were very helpful. The breakfast, even with the waffle bar was lacking in imagination and variety. The scenic setting more than makes up for any deficiencies and I am sure those will be remedied in time. I would choose it over the new Holiday Inn down the road any time.

  It is an absolutely beautiful place. It was a stopping point on our trip to Chicago. Looking at the art on the walls and the history it had was quite interesting as well. They have history with the Wizard of Oz hosting reunions and some of the pictures hanging on the walls explain this. And while we had a good couple of nights and wonderful breakfast, we did have to shuffle rooms a couple of times for maintenance reasons starting out. They also had a wonderful indoor pool on the bottom floor and beautiful views of the woods around the property.

  Beautiful Inn tucked back in the woods. Had a king whirlpool room that was absolutely amazing with a wooded view and back deck. Even saw about 10 deer passing through in the morning! Will definitely be back. Perfect spot for my significant other and I to meet half way. Thank you!!!

  We went here for our first anniversary being married it was very nice great breakfast and the bed was comfy it was definitely a step back in time but we both loved our visit it was nice to relax in a wooded area we would definitely be coming there again. The only thing that was an issue is that we couldn't understand the people at the front desk to well. But our trip was beautiful so was our stay.
