Beechwood Nature Preserve - ACRES Land Trust

Beautiful hike, love this place, only one hill that goes straight up but it's small, the rest are moderate inclines or flat land with wood walk ways and beautiful scenery. We did all the trails except the small wet land loop and it was only 1.6 miles. Would be an easy trail for kids as well.

I'm sad to hear ACRES Land Trust is closing this trail on Dec 31, 2023. I've always enjoyed the hilly paths and how it links to Pokagon trails.

Great nature preserve. Right down the street from Pokagon State Park. Can access Trail 8 of Pokagon State Park. Has a couple decent hills. Really nice wetland area, note there are some loose boards so just watch your footing. There is probably a sitting bench almost every quarter mile of the loop. There is also a short and halfway loop if you don't have time for that full loop.

Wonderful back to nature trails. Kid Friendly. Excellent walking. Not terribly hilly. Group, families, and individual can walk and enjoy the woods. Natural growing plants and trees. Not planted with purpose. Parking at the entrance. No cost. Small sign to identify it. Google map was not accurate or even close. The map tries to take you onto private property that is adjacent to the Nature Preserve.
