(April 17, 2022, 11:44 pm)Please stay out of the caves not only for the physical integrity of the cave, but for the ecosystem within as well. Hibernating bats can die from disturbances as well as the presence of white nose syndrome in North America. Cave salamanders use the pools and rock cover to lay eggs. Not only are these animals important to preserve, but your safety is important as well. Conditions inside the caves can be hazardous. High water and loose stone can cause injury or death. Please use caution and your better judgement to preserve Cave River Valley.
