  Been going there my whole life never once had a problem! Good people! I had to wait 5 hours in line and I loved it! Haters!

  My husband and I came to the DMV on a Monday at about 12:00 in the afternoon. Right as we arrived we were politely greeted and Delbert, the manager, came over to ask us how he could help us. We informed him we wanted to get our KS drivers licenses as we had recently moved from MO. He verified we both had all the pertinent documents to be process and gave us a ticket number to share so we could stay together in line. I like that they check your documents before you have waited a long time and are ready to be processed. This expidites slow downs when agents are helping someone who does not have the proper paper work, getting them out of the queue allowing who are prepared to go through. The wait was fair, to be expected at an understaffed government agency that hasn’t updated to the online queue notification system yet. It took about 45 before we were called up with only 9 people ahead of us. But the staff was at this time rotating lunch breaks. I felt it definitely could have been worse. The actual processing time took longer than expected. Maybe their software loads super slow. But Delbert, who was again helping us, was super patient, polite, friendly and helpful. Total time was about 1.5 hours. Again not bad especially since that was to help BOTH of us. Everyone working there seemed tired and overworked. But professional, friendly and helpful. Thanks Lawrence DMV!

  I called as I forgot to go in & my license expired in 2 days. I waited ~2 minutes for someone to speak with, however the helpful attendant told me I could renew online using the iKan app so long as I had been to see an eye doctor in the last 12 months. Sure enough - downloaded the app, answered maybe 15 questions, uploaded my payment info & BOOM! Less than 12 minutes from phone call to license renewed from my kitchen table. Super easy! Shout out to the Lawrence DMV for sharing that fantastic info!! GREAT time save - now if the State of Kansas would have included that info on the renewal card I received it would have been even better - but KUDOS to the Lawrence office for sharing & saving my afternoon! #themoreyouknow #knowingishalfthebattle

  I renewed my license on Sept 26 at 1:45 in the afternoon. I had all my paperwork because I checked on the website before going. Other than a terrible picture, to be expected, I had a quick and easy experience. It took 20 minutes. I didn't have to wait at all. Everyone was very nice. My timing must have been good, but my experience was great. Thank you, DMV.
