(December 16, 2017, 12:43 pm)This is an awesome place to train. It helps all individuals, from kids to adults. This school has it all. I've been training there for over five years now and I love it. They have self-defense several self-defense training systems. They also teach traditional Okinawan weapons. I love that we get that traditional material, and what's even better is that we get to learn the application of the techniques. I can't say enough about how much I enjoy what I'm learning at this school. I get a broad curriculum and detail of each technique all in multiple systems in one school. The Chief Instructor and owner, Sensei Brown, is awesome and is an 8th degree black belt as of this review. Give them a call if you interested in/want to get training for yourself and/or your family.

(August 4, 2017, 9:04 am)My 6 year old son loves it. They train the kids well. Not only in martial arts, but in obedience as well. The prices are also very affordable and offer a wide range of classes. Fun workout for the whole family!

Sensei Greg Brown of Shogun Martial Arts International is by far the best and most experienced instructor I have had the privilege to study under. His depth and scope of knowledge in Okinawan Kempo Karate, Aku Bu Jujitsu, Kobudo and Shin de Ryu is unmatched. His senior instructors are well trained and accomplished martial artists. I have observed the children's and beginner's classes and I have been impressed by the senior instructor's ability to convey and impart the lessons of martial arts to both the young and inexperienced without talk down to them. There is no doubt in my mind that there is a better martial arts school in the Kansas City area.
