Johnson County has so many fantastic parks and Ernie Miller is at the top. The park and the nature center along with the staff and the events are second to none. My daughter and I have such great memories of the park
.
Great trails with some really picturesque areas for family or other picture ideas. Staff is friendly and eager to help and answer questions as well. Kids enjoy the nature center and we even had a pair of deer right by the trail feeding. Great for a fall afternoon family outing.
My 10yr old son did a field trip here a few weeks ago too and was telling us all about what he learned as we walked through the park and what he did at various areas. The program they did was obviously memorable for him!
Amazingly beautiful place. Plenty to see and do so much fun for everyone in the family. So many great things to talk about and learn as a family. Enjoy some family time together.
A great treasure in Johnson County! The park has more than two miles in trails that winds through dense woods. Hikers can cross over a stream by bridge or a rocks. The series of trails are paved, have wood chips or just dirt.
The nature center has very educational exhibits and a nice collection of bird, snakes and frogs.
We took our Den of Cub Scouts there to complete a Bear requirement. The boys had a great time and learned a few things.
Small but very clean and informative. Lots of activities to sign up for all kinds of age groups and the staff is very helpful and nice. Beautiful grounds with actual prairie grass and wild flowers and all sorts of prairie animals and habitat information to explore. Even a little gift shop in the front.
