  My husband and I had talked about visiting here more than once and finally made the trip. I HIGHLY recommend this. The information is very interesting and the staff is very informative. The temperature was pretty good, but if you are someone who gets cold easy or often dress for a fall day or bring a sweatshirt or light jacket. I get cold very easily and my fingers were starting to get tingling after being down in the mines for 3.5 hours. I bought the Safari tour and it was well with the extra money! Money very well spent!

  The salt mine is awesome. The tours are great. Part of it was self guided which is cool. Kids and adults had a great time. The kids loved being able to collect a salt rock.
  The wait to go topside was WAY to long. The kid running the hoist actually sent it up empty "because I'm the only one here and can't leave to ride with you". That was frustrating, there were 30-40 of us waiting at that time.

  I took my wife here for our 4 year anniversary and it did not disappoint! I bought the regular tickets plus the safari ride through the old mining areas. We got to collect chunks of salt from the mine too. You can also reserve their event center 650 feet underground! I will be back again it was so much fun.

  Amazing Experience, an active Mine with so much going on...it was very interesting & well worth the money and time. Two hours went by so fast and it is needed. Strataca helps to send you back into time allowing understanding of how mining salt began and how it has evolved. Learning the purpose of salt and how it's used today was fascinating! Everyone should visit this Attraction.

  Such an awesome and perfect outing for our family. Our 11 year old boy wasn't bored once, didn't even realize we had been there over 2 hours. The tour guides were awesome and very knowledgeable about the history and little details of the salt mine. Definitely recommend for anyone in the area.
