Florence United Methodist Church is extremely welcoming and has activities for young children through adult. They offer Sunday school programs for children as young as 2 years old and nursery is provided for those younger children. There is something for everyone.😉The church is also Bible based which was important to me. I highly recommend this friendly, spiritual, and welcoming church. ❤️
I have been a regular attendee at Florence UMC for some time now. I started coming regularly after my divorce and did not actually join the church for several years after that. FUMC has welcomed me and provides so many opportunities for all kinds of people in all different stages of life, from preschool and the children's program, through the youth and young adults, all the way up to our older parishioners. I'm also grateful that we are a giving and generous church, supporting many missions both locally and worldwide, with time, resources, and prayer.
Very friendly church that strives to make everyone feel welcome. They have two worship services with a traditional and a contemporary format, so there is something for everyone. I particularly appreciate the strong focus on outreach ministries to benefit the community. The church provides food packs and books to school kids, back to school clothes and Christmas presents for those in need, space for AA groups to meet, meals to the homeless, and so much more.
My husband and I went to a larger church for awhile. We liked our old church but felt something was missing. We had our first child and decided we wanted to go somewhere a bit smaller where our daughter could grow up and make friends. So finding somewhere with a strong children’s program was a must. Our first time there we were welcomed by pastors (something that never happened at the larger church) and greeters. People stopped and told us about the nursery and children’s church. We felt very welcomed. Our goal was to find a kid friendly place to worship where we felt like a part of a community of believers, and after attending for almost 2 years I can say I truly believe we found what we were looking for. 🥰
