It was a long journey, venturing through different flight instructors, but Adrian Reynolds and Wings of Refuge Flight School finally help me achieve my dream! This is a "class act" flight school and ministry. This team cares about helping you achieve your dreams, not logging flight hours. Thank you all for all you do for aviation!

I had the unique experience of using Wings of Refugee Flight School for both my sons and my flight training. We have both achieved Private Pilot certificates. I found the plane to be both reliable and safe. The hangar is well kept. There are no oily parts thrown about. The plane is always clean. It's what you'd expect a professional flight school hangar to look like. The maintenance logs are well maintained and organized and this should be a primary factor when considering any flight school. My son and I are completely different people and Adrian Reynolds was able to find a way to teach both of us effectively. I needed more structure, my son needed a little more laid back approach.

Adrian is conscious about the expense that a commitment to flying requires and will work to help you mitigate the cost without compromising safety and interrupting the integrity of the business. That being said, he will not allow you to do things in the airplane that you're not capable of doing just because you've meet a certain FAA requirement in regards to flight/training time. This is not a cookie cutter/churn 'em out flight school. Teaching is based on the speed of each persons ability to learn and master certain aeronautical fundamentals. My 17 year old son was desperate to solo and I hated to see his disappointment when he wasn't allowed. Adrian had to have a couple of conversations with him about why he wasn't ready to go alone and what he needed to work on in order to be ready. That's the way things operate and that's exactly what I wanted for the safety of my son. When he was ready, he soloed.

We never had any difficulty in scheduling the plane and the way that the scheduling is done is really quite simple. You can schedule your lessons 24/7 as long as you have access to a PC (or a smartphone) and the internet. I also found Adrian to be more than accommodating when our schedules collided. He always found time available if it was something really important to me. The airport personnel is friendly and many of the "old war birds" out there took my son under their wing, so to speak. They would keep an eye on him and he would actually hang out at Stuart Powell Field. I couldn't have imagined a better place for him to loaf after school. So, if you're interested in flying and you want a safe, clean, friendly environment with a personalized approach I would not hesitate to contact Wings of Refugee.

I just want to say what a great experience it was earning my private pilot's license through Adrian Reynolds. Adrian is not only a great instructor technically; but, also has the knack for making you feel at ease and allowing the experience to be enjoyable. I started taking lessons when I was 52 and wish I had started much sooner. I am now working on my Instrument Rating with Adrian and have found that to be challenging and fun. I just wanted to say how impressed I am with Adrian Reynolds and Wings of Refuge Flight School. I had stopped taking flight lessons about 10 years ago due to kids, work, life, etc. I started taking lessons again with Adrian and the experience couldn't have been easier. Not many months after starting back, I have my Private Pilots License and have achieved a life long dream. Thanks Adrian!
