Great place to visit. Now I know why we race the opposite direction of the British. The homestead, race track and William Whitley are a major part of Kentucky history. The ladys that host the home are very knowledgeable and can tell you many details of how the house was constructed. We'll worth a visit.
It's a beautiful field of wild flowers with a very brief walk to the top of the hill. Great view of the surrounding farm land from the top.
Who is cave tastic. If you listen real close you can hear locomotive blowing in wind.
Engines whaao nah ohhna n`°ewah..Look close just listen cornstock Jon Logan tecumseh's are still singing .songs of the land and sky..
The house was closed for the season so we weren't able to go in, but the area around it was beautiful and clean. The structure was built in the 1700s to provide a good view for a local racetrack. As far as I could tell, the track is now an open field with a jungle gym, swings and picnic tables at one end and what looked to be the caretakers house at the other. Beautiful old trees adorn the yard. In the picture, my gorgeous fiance picks at one while talking on the phone.
