(November 17, 2019, 4:03 pm)Great food at prices not much more than fast food. When traveling we try to stop during lunch time so we can eat at this café...the food is excellent and the prices are very good. It is nice to eat and enjoy the art at the same time. The nearby restrooms are first class.

(September 1, 2019, 3:00 pm)The food at the cafe is a lot better than you might expect. Years back it was pretty standard cafeteria fair, but over the last few years the head chef and the menu have changed dramatically.
The burgers in particular are top notch. Cakes, quiche, pork chops, all worth eating.
I went in to do food photography for the new menu and ended up stuffing my face till it hurt... and then I ate a couple more bites.
Definitely worth trying out if you're just passing through and don't have time to visit the town. -

(February 12, 2019, 8:21 pm)We have stopped at the artisan center/rest stop many time during our travels. This is the first time we ate in the cafe. What a nice place to have lunch. I had the catfish and my wife had the bean soup. Both were tasty. The staff was nice and the eating area is very well appointed with the local art. The food is served cafeteria style with a grill and salad bar available. Much nicer than fat food at about the same price.
