Extremely caring staff. Took my female dog in to get spayed. When I picked her up she was in excellent spirits and great shape for post surgery.

Recently we had to face saying goodbye to our fur baby, our nearly 12 year old golden retriever/ lab, Ben. From the moment we arrived the staff and Doctor were so kind, supportive, and empathetic toward us. They were also so gentle and respectful in caring for Ben. In the midst of our grief they offered support and condolences. I had just told my husband yesterday morning how I wished that we would have remembered to have gotten Ben’s paw prints, and yesterday afternoon, to our hearts surprise, we received a very sweet, and thoughtful condolence card from them with 4 laminated paw prints

Without a doubt, one of the BEST experiences I have had with this staff. Dr. Rohleder is AMAZING! He is very thorough, informative, honest, kind, and understands that our dogs are our world! The staff is so very nice and professional. Always pleasant on the phone when you call in. I HIGHLY recommend Elk Creek/Fisherville. They work very hard to make sure your pet family is well taken care of. The cost of services are reasonable and I have never felt pressured to spend money on things we didn't need. Dr. Rohleder did amazing work on our Boxer that had bilateral FHO surgery. I TRUST him with my babies!

Love Elk Creek! Prices are great and cheaper than most places. First time we saw a male doctor and he was very thorough. Second time was a female and I didnt like that she examined in the back, away from me, but still a great experience. There are questions you think of while a doctor is doing the exam that it's hard to remember all at once.

they saved my kitten from being put down by other vets! My little kitten diagnosed with feline luekemia got very sick and was dropping weight quickly. She refused to eat and was coughing non stop. She littles to chew on little plastic bags and crinkly things. I thought she had swallowed some kind of candy wrapper. I took her to 2 different vets. The last one told us we had to put her down and shamed us for not having another $1,500 after giving them $2,300 over the last 3 days for tests and over night stays, for an emergency surgery on something they said they couldn't even see. They could not see a wrapper in the x-ray or ultrasound. They wanted to do exploratory surgery. They told me she would die if they didn't. They told me I was giving her a death sentence and she wouldn't live another 3 days. I knew my baby girl and I followed my gut. Even though they pressured us in a tiny room for half an hour to either pay for the surgery or put her down. I was scared but refused. Said I was taking her home then. I took her home and reached out to social media. A local rescuer recommended Elk Creek. I called them immediately and they saw us the very next morning at 8 am. The wonderful Vet, he took a look at her and said it was a respiratory infection and gave her medicine and special food for a week. She is now 2 years old and healthy! I will never go to another vet as long as I'm in Kentucky! The ladies in the office were so kind and warm,I felt like I was home. Thank you all for saving my baby!!
