Deanie's Seafood Restaurant & Seafood Market

Stoped here for a quick lunch. The inside was bigger and nicer then I expected. The Gumbo was great. The artichoke was a little overstuffed but it tasted pretty good. The waitress was nice and friendly. She brought us a dish of new potatoes for an appetizer that tasted like they were fresh out of a crab boil, very good and spicy. Some of the other customers plates look delicious too. I recommend trying this place out. I would come back again.

They have a great fried seafood platter. It's huge and can feed several people. It's not seasoned but I dunk everything in cocktail and tarter sauce anyways so it's not a big deal to me. The bread pudding is so good and I always get it when I come. The boiled potatoes basket at the beginning is just perfect as well.

This was a fantastic place with absolutely delicious food. Our waiter, Patrick, was the best. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations. We had the stuffed mushrooms and crawfish balls for appetizers. So delicious! I had the seafood gumbo and my husband had the seafood salad, we ate every bite. We highly recommend this restaurant.

There's something to be said about the classics. Deanie's has been a constant in the New Orleans area food scene for as long as I can remember and that's not a bad thing. Don't come in expecting fancy decor or a fresh new menu - but come for a true taste of New Orleans all around. It's hard to have a bad experience here and should be on the list for any visit to the area!

My experience was pleasant and the service was great! My family came in and our group of 7 was seated immediately. It was the middle of the week so no large crowds. I enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms the most.
