    Family Vet has taken care of multiple generations of dogs for our family. They have a great location in a very clean and well appointed house, not an office, that makes our dogs feel at ease. The docs are great. Dr. Varner and her partners are very good at answering questions and laying out all of the options so that we can make the best decisions for our dogs. The staff is also very helpful, caring, and friendly. As long as I am in this area, I will be taking my dogs to Family Vet.

    Wonderful caring practice. I can't say enough good things. My family has used them for a couple of years. The entire staff is caring and friendly. It absolutely feels like an extended part of our family and I feel good about bringing my cats there every time.

    After being unhappy with the vet we were going to, I did a lot of research to find a new vet. I narrowed it down to 3, called and spoke to office staff and decided on Family Vet. We have always been very happy with them. They were also very helpful with our daughters dog when he was staying with us while being quarantined before moving to Hawaii and needed medical attention.

    Prices are comparable to other vets in the area, the doctors know their stuff, (we saw two) and they were both very caring and understanding. They take care credit and we were able to bring one dog in for an appointment scheduled two days out and then schedule our second dog for an appointment the same day! We were then even allowed to pay after the second visit. Phenomenal experience.

    Dr. Yates and the staff at Family Veterinary Clinic are the BEST we have found in the Bowie area. In conjunction with the amazing emergency pet hospital in Bowie, they have transformed the life of our asthmatic cat who recently suffered a collapsed lung. She behaves like a healthy, active cat now. We have been amazed at the expert care, the sensible approach, and affordable fees of the Family Veterinary Clinic! We are so happy to have found them!

    Update, June 2018. Family Veterinary Clinic is STILL the BEST!!!
