An honest repair shop that will take the time to accurately inspect and diagnose any issues and will not overcharge or recommend unnecessary service. When I went for an oil change and service inspection, they showed me that my rear brake pads were worn and clearly demonstrated the wear in comparison to my front pads, which were still in good condition. After ordering certified Honda factory pads, they also demonstrated the difference in wear between my pads and the factory pads, in a way that was clear to a layman.
I asked Scott and his team of professional mechanics to provide a second opinion concerning an expensive replacement job that another auto shop recommended me to undergo. Scott & co. quickly assessed that the replacement advised by the other mechanic, was not actually necessary. I am thankful because this has saved me about $1000 in unnecessary replacements.
Following the completion of service, I went back due to having some concerns about my brake pedal not feeling quite normal. Scott test drove the vehicle and ensured that all was functioning properly, and they were very friendly about my coming back for this quick verification check.
Finally, I inquired as to my cruise control not working. After running several tests, they isolated the problem to a certain, degraded part with a loose wire, which they demonstrated to me. They quoted me the repair but advised me that it was not a safety issue, and given the expense they recommended against having the repair.
I am glad that I went to this particular service location, and they were able to assist despite my not needing body work at the time. I will be a returning customer, and I wholeheartedly recommend this shop to others.
Their customer service is very good, but they charge really a lot for auto repairs. In fact, labor charge is very high in that neighborhood. If you are a low-income person and don’t have more than enough money in your pocket, avoid taking your auto to this shop.
They went above and beyond and kept the costs as low as possible. They ordered a replacement headlamp assembly through their parts supplier to save me some coin. When that part came in damaged, they got it directly from Kia and THEY ATE THE COST. They didn't come back and ask me to fork over more money, they just ordered it and ate the cost. During the work they also were replacing the inner fender liner. Apparently Kia sent them the wrong one but it was only off by one mounting point. The tech came and got me, pointed out everything to me and ran down a list of options, none of which would have cost me more money. When they wrapped up work they even gave my car a quick bath! The office staff were super friendly and even rounded down my final bill! I mean, it was like four bucks, but what business does that in this day and age?? If something happens to any of my cars in the future, I will absolutely be taking my cars back to A1.
