Chesapeake Endodontic Center

Excellent work on my first root canal, there was no pain before, during or after the procedure. Dr. Parreira and his assistant were friendly, super-efficient and had me in and out in less than an hour including all kinds of Xrays. Their numbing system was essentially painless and I got to sort of nap while they worked.

I was very nervous about getting a root canal. Dr. Parreira and his assistant were very helpful answering my questions and the doctor walked me through every step of the procedure. Dr. Parreira made my root canal "painless", so my prior anxiety was just a waste of my time. I highly recommend going to this practice if you need a root canal.

I was relieved that this practice offered emergency service, as I was quite uncomfortable. I left a message after hours and was contacted with an appointment for early the next day. Everyone in the office was very professional. Dr P was low-keyed and explained each step. Although they don't participate with United Concordia, they do the legwork and had a clear estimate of my out-of-pocket costs.

I cannot say enough to tell you about my experience with the staff of Chesapeake Endodontic Center.
I was warmly greeted upon entering the practice and shown to a very cozy waiting room. Where I unfortunately only enjoyed for a minute as they took me to a dental room right away!

I took my shoes off and was told to do whatever made me comfortable. The doctor came in with in aoment and ask me what brought me in. He listened attentively and got right to work, explaining along the way everything he was doing in my mouth.

The soft praise music was wonderfully soothing and I can't believe I'm saying thing... they made getting a root canal a pleasant experience!

I have had several root canals over the years. Yesterday, with Dr. Luzader and the team at Chesapeake Endodontic Center, I can say that it was the best root canal experience ever. The only pain/discomfort I felt was from having my mouth propped open for so long (I have a very small mouth and the root canal was the last tooth on the top) and the preceding fear of the procedure. After the numbing was gone yesterday, I had nearly no pain at all. I took a few Tylenol as a precaution for pain that may come. Today I don’t need any Tylenol at all.

The team were calm, kind, worked extremely well together and addressed any request I had quickly. Dr. Luzader spoke gently to me, telling me with each stage what was going to happen next.

My case was challenging due to a root that was difficult to reach. At one point Dr. Luzader gave me the opportunity to stop and return to finish the procedure another day if I couldn’t tolerate the jaw being opened any longer. I stayed and prayed while he was working tirelessly on that pesky root. I clapped when he was done and thanked him for his persistence.

I had a minor root canal with another endodontic practice and doctor and it was the exact opposite of this review. If, heaven forbid, I need any more endodontic work I will be going back to Chesapeake Endodontic and Dr. Luzader!
