I lost my husband and a close friend in 2021, and a close friend at work in 2022. Grief, compounded with run of the mill stress and anxiety, makes it kinda hard to do basic things. Deena was incredibly understanding and patient with me. I never felt ignored, or pressured to do any more than I was comfortable doing. Gentle insights on how to deal with my workload while attending to how to process all the feelings I had going on at the same time helped me balance my work/personal life.

I was not keen on seeing a therapist, but after coaxing from long-term friends who have experience being in therapy I decided to take the plunge. I am glad I did. Mental health is the same as regular health, and if you need some help, go get it! I am grateful for the decision I made and the excellent therapist I was matched up with. Thank you Deena!

I collaborated with Jennifer Gibbs when she worked at Life Renewal Services (I'm a para-professional at LRS), and that was a big deal for me. In my opinion, Jennifer demonstrated a superb ability to connect with younger clients who may not be invested in therapeutic process, and was creative in her approaches to help motivate clients. I learned quite a bit collaborating, and still bother her from time to time in search of ideas to motivate clients. Jennifer was also exceptional at establishing a safe and supportive atmosphere, and an inspired communicator. I use a considerable amount of what she taught me every day I see clients.
