Fantastic facility, would highly recommend. Great staff, and very family like atmosphere. Very different setting from other nursing homes, makes you feel right at home!
Long View is a decent care giving facility. It is not perfect nor is any place you will ever visit. My mother has been there for over 2 years, continues to live and be cared for there. Seeing some of these reviews is really disconcerting, like leaving 2 stars and no comments is kinda of chicken. Anywho, my mom has been thru several different care facilities (like 4 in the State of MD) and Long View is by far the best of them all. The nursing staff has alot of veteran nurses that have been there more than 10 years. I have noticed a large shift in the staff because of new management so we'll see how that plays out. I can usually find a nurse or nursing assistant pretty quickly. I am VERY present at their facility and for the most part, I can say I am pleased with my mom's care. I believe she is well taken care of. There have been some issues but I never thought she was being neglected. Like I said before, NO FACILITY IS PERFECT.. I love her nurses and the support staff and I can pretty much bring any concerns to them and it's taken care of. If I need to, If I have a bigger concern, the management is a phone call away. Some of the nice things they do is we bring our dog to visit (just bring your rabies certificate) There activities programs are really terrific such as live music, "happy hour" (yes I said happy hour) arts and crafts and they provide alot of opportunities for the residents to participate. I would recommend Long View to anyone needing care for their loved one.
