  My husband and I had dinner at Mama Stella's Pasta Restaurant right before Thanksgiving . When walking thru the doors the atmosphere felt great. We were imminently Greeted by a vary friendly and polite waitress. We were seated in a nice and quite area. I was a little susceptible at first on how good the food would be based on old wall paper and decor and old vintage feel but I could smell the food from were we were seated . when our friendly waitress returned we asked for some suggestions. She suggested I get the spinach fettuccini Alfredo with jumbo shrimp as my on tray and my husband the posillipo dish ( mussuls , shrimp , scallops , calamari , fish and perciatelli pasta ) .We also ordered calamari for appetizers . the drinks we ordered were bud light and merlot . The wait was not long at all we revived our calamari fairly quickly. During our wait for our main course the waiters came to our tale vary apologetic to the fact that my husbands order had to be altered since they no longer had scallops or perciatella pasta so for a substitute they would do clams and spaghetti my husband agreed. Our dinners arrived not far after and we dug in the food over all was great . My fettuccini Alfredo with spinach and jumbo shrimp was great all tho I did not eat my shrimp (due to the fact that the shrimp was not butterfly cleaned ) but the alfredo fettuccini and spinach were great , my husbands dish was ok he said he was not to happy about the change but over all everything was good , when we were ready for our bill the friendly waitress asked if we would like desserts , we were pretty full so we polity declined explain how full we were and how great everything was but she insisted the desserts were great and we could take it to go so we gave in and ordered a cheesecake and Tiramisu to go . She quickly returned with our check and our to go desserts . Our total was about $120.00 with no discount for the fact that my husbands meal had been adjusted with cheaper ingredients . Over all it was good but a bit over priced for 2 meals an appetizer 2 desserts and one cup of wine and one beer also the place was a tad bit old I would strongly recommend an update . ...So for that reason i gave it 4 stars

  This gem is a highlight of my yearly visit to Accokeek, MD. Little Italy in Baltimore has nothing on Mama Stella's. Superb Italian cuisine that is fairly priced. Highly recommended.
