Does excellent work and is honest. If you don't need something done, Steve will let you know. I Trust this place 100%
Great service! Jon, our service technician was excellent. Highly recommend Blue Ribbon Auto Service.
The name Blue Ribbon speaks for itself. A friend had repairs done at this location. I knew she was very particular about her vehicle. I knew there was a possibility that I may have needed major repairs, so I decided to give them a try. I had a leak that was causing smoke to billow out of the engine area of the automobile. I was hoping it was not a costly repair, but I knew it was a great possibility.
I contacted the shop, Steve scheduled me a week out because they were very busy. Once they test drove the car, Steve contacted me to explain the problems. He was very thorough and detailed in his explanations. He spoke in a calming tone and wasn't condescending or using scare tactics to get me to get the work done. After telling me about the primary problem and solution, Steve told me about a secondary problem that needed to be done but it was of no urgency. He only recommended the service since it would need to be done in the near future.
Once I agreed to have all of the work completed, I appreciated the fact that Steve took additional time to explain the repairs prior to and after they had been completed. He even showed me the old parts and walked me to my vehicle opened the hood, removed the engine cover and showed me the parts that had been replaced.
To sum it up the repairs were more than I expected. I did not receive the mixed feelings I get when receiving service from the dealership. The logic of doing everything while the car was already being repaired and they were working in that same location made sense. The cost was reasonable and I was assured that the work had been completed. Overall I am completely satisfied with the repairs and the customer service from this establishment. I would highly recommend them to family and friends.
Blue Ribbon is great. They saw me in a short amount of time and fixed SEVERAL problems at once while keeping me informed the entire time. A huge problem at another shop was a simple fix at Blue Ribbon. I will 100% be taking my car back and telling a friend.
The hardest thing about finding a good mechanic is finding someone you know you can trust. It's easy for someone to look under the hood, state a series of issues, and then ask for $2,000 to fix it. This happened to us with a major chain auto repair center just up the road from Blue Ribbon. They plugged in the diagnostic computer, read the codes and told me we needed two sensors replaced that would total a couple thousand dollars. I decided to get a second opinion and called Blue Ribbon. Steve answered and after hearing my problem told me to bring the car in before getting it worked on. He'd never heard of those sensors failing on my type of car and wanted to do some actual, true diagnostic work. Sure enough, with just some curiosity and a mirror he found where a squirrel had chewed a cable that made it look like the sensors had malfunctioned but actually only required a fix that was 10% of what the other place had quoted for replacing sensors, which weren't even broken!
Blue Ribbon has all my auto service business from here on out. They are honest, fast, creative and have customer service that shows they actually care. Well done, gents. And thank you.
