  We stayed in the Banneker Room. Everything was great, including Joe, the manager. It’s under recent new ownership, but apparently the old owner (of 20+ years) was very careful in choosing the home’s next owner.
  
  The house is perfectly historic without being overly Victorian like so many other Maryland B&Bs. The sheets are ridiculously soft, the pillows are very nice, and the bathroom was rustic with modern amenities — overhead rainshower head, plus an awesome jacuzzi tub.
  
  Joe was ready when we asked for a fire at 9:30 pm, and when the space heater was malfunctioning at 10:30 pm, he brought in a new one 3 minutes later. (I guess I should mention the room was a bit chilly, but with the fire and space heater, it was very pleasant.)
  
  And the breakfast was amazing. Gluten free French toast with a homemade exquisite citrus syrup, a fried egg cooked perfectly according to preference, a cheesy egg casserole, two types of sausage, lots of fresh fruit and fresh coffee, and juice. Somehow, all the hot food was hot at once.
  
  All things considered, probably the best B&B experience I’ve ever had.

  We enjoyed our overnight getaway at Wayside Inn. The place was cheerful, cozy and intimate, beautifully decorated for the holidays. we especially liked the gas fireplace and the big jacuzzi tub, such nice luxuries. The breakfast was extravagant and delicious! And sitting at a dining room table with other inn guests for breakfast was an unexpected pleasure for all. The staff at the inn was very attentive and helpful, and we loved the personal touch of bringing a few strangers together to make each others' acquaintance. Overall, the place had every amenity to be hoped for: charm and beauty, gracious staff, delicious food, and comfortable quarters.

  Could not have asked for a better way to celebrate our 6th anniversary! We arrived on a Friday evening after sitting in a bit of traffic. The owner, David, has called us to check in as we were supposed to arrive a while before. He was upbeat and understanding of the traffic in that area. Upon arrival we're were greeted by him and Susan. They were happy to see us and were incredibly warm. Susan showed us to our room, pointed out the features and gave us a quick tour of the home. We had added on the romance package to our stay and everything was set up beautifully- the roses, chocolate covered strawberries, and champagne in a bucket (oh and bubble bath for our jacuzzi!). We stayed in the Banneker Room- the sheets were to die for!
  Breakfast each morning was lovely. Saturday we had the baked eggs with six cheeses and ham. Sunday we had the Cranberry Orange croissant soufflé with bacon. Both were preceded by a fruit and yogurt granola parfait. The staff that made the breakfast were equally as accommodating and gracious as the owners! The inn is lovely and quiet, I utilized the small library just off of the front sitting room to sip coffee and crochet. There is much historic charm, not to be over shadowed by the modern conveniences. This was my husbands first stay at a B&B, but it won't be his last.

  Stayed at this B&B this past weekend and it was great! I highly recommend. The hosts, David and Susan, were terrific and David is a terrific cook. The room was great and all of the accommodations were perfect. We will return.

  Beautiful inn, the decor is lovely and the bed sheets are so incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the owners/staff are incredibly friendly, accommodating and kind. This place is amazing.
