(January 3, 2019, 9:31 am)This is one of my very favorite go-to places for fine dining in a quaint, quiet setting. Service is excellent as is the food - always. I took some pictures when I was there in December, but forgot to snap a shot of my delicious duck entree. Add-on to my review: photos of the delicious cheesecake & coconut, chocolate chip ice cream and 2018 fireplace and tree decorations are from yet another visit.

(January 3, 2019, 7:41 am)Delicious food, very courteous servers, charming! Beautiful, old home converted for restaurant/catering. Pretty setting! Had a wonderful celebration luncheon for family member. Not from the Maryland area, but would go back for more fun and food!

(December 8, 2018, 3:04 pm)We went to celebrate my parents 63rd wedding anniversary. My mom especially loves their fried oysters (and so do we) so we started with them. I had the scallops and they were able to modify them for my special diet... They were supurb!! My husband had the tuna and raved about it all night. Don't wait for a special occasion to enjoy this gem of a restaurant!!

(October 28, 2018, 6:47 am)It was the greatest venue we could have chosen for our high school reunion. The restaurant is still beautiful. The vibe is cozy. The food was delicious and service were wonderful!!!! Kudos to Richard and the entire staff!

(September 12, 2018, 7:12 am)2018 Update: Ate there this week with dear Army friends from Germany in the early 1970s. Had a great evening with wonderful service. The food was excellent as always. I had the escargot; yummy, served with fresh French bread!! [Who ever thought that I would love eating snails!!] Main course was Shrimp and Crab Angel Hair Pasta; again excellent preparation and presentation. Topped it off with a Latte and more reminiscing about our time together long ago. We were that last ones to leave, but the staff didn't mind at all. Another 5 star experience. As I've said many times, we'll be back!!
One of our favorite restaurants since the late 1970s! Ate there recently to celebrate my wife's 70th Birthday with dear friends from Columbia. Another marvelous meal with wonderful service. For a classy, romantic dining experience, you can't beat The Kings Contrivance. Highly recommended.
