  My roommate and I moved to Verde at Howard Square back in August. I wanted to wait at least six months before writing this review. This place has been incredible. We stayed at two places in Odenton before our move to Verde an couldn’t be more happy about our transition. The price was very reasonable and our apartment layout is the best I found. (Alexander). The best part about this place is the staff. They are extremely friendly and quick to help always. We had about 4 maintenance issues so far since we moved in (late July) and every single time they have been very quick to help. One of those issues was a (small) leak in our wall that caused three microwaves to ruin. They replaced the microwave every time until the issue was fixed and were very patient and helpful. This place is very nice and I highly recommend it. They have recommendation rewards now and then so if you know someone who lives in the apartment already be sure to ask!

  Been living here for a year and a couple months now, it's a nice apartment. Great staff... the only thing I'd have to say is.... I dislike the fact that the clubhouse isn't accessible after 5:30 PM. Gym & Business center are both 24 hours, I feel like the clubhouse area should be as well. For as expensive as our rent is, we should definitely be able to unwind downstairs if we'd like. Everyone works during the day... by the time people do get home... they don't have the option of occupying the clubhouse space because it closes when the leasing office does. My room is on the side where the main road is so it definitely can be really noisy, along with the construction of the new apartments. Other than that, everything is good. Rent is pricey, but all of the apartment units are clean and very spacious. If you move in on a special... please know that when your rent goes up it is going to jump as close to the market rate as possible. We moved in on a special with a 2bd2ba for $1475. Our rent jumped up to $1600 at the time of renewal. We renewed for 19 months.. and got it down to $1575... not including trash and parking. Speaking of trash, the trash pickup company is VERY inconsistent. There have been nights where our trash is missed, and then we'll have a note from the property manager telling us to put our trashcan inside and place it back out at the proper time for trash pick up... We leave it out because we don't want our apartment to smell like trash. So it stays out until the next trash pick up. They sometimes don't get to our trash until about 11:00pm. Those are just small issues. No rodents, no bugs... apartments are cozy. Rarely ever see my neighbors... I didn't think we had any for the longest. Oh, another thing. If you don't pay your rent and get an eviction notice they'll place it on your mailbox. (Kind of embarrassing) but I've seen a few notices a couple of times on people's mailboxes.

  Despite being the only person working on a Sunday, answering phone calls, serving current residents’ inquiries, and giving tours to the prospective residents, Chris Brown has been very patient, and showed great professionalism throughout our visit. While he was taking us to see one of the units, he literally ran ahead of us in the hallway to turn off the security alarm that went off because the one of the garage door was not properly shut, he told us “the sound gets really annoying when you get close”, we were impressed by how much he cared about the customers and his workplace. We gave him 5 star rating wether or not we will lease from him.

  I really really REALLY enjoy living here! It's definitely the best apartment community I have ever moved into. From the welcoming and friendly office staff to the helpful and prompt maintenance technicians, Verde really does have everything I could ask for! It's a rather quiet community too, which I prefer. We are currently looking to buy a house, but leaving here is going to be tough! I would certainly recommend this community to anyone looking to move into the Howard County area!

  I have lived here for 6 months and previously lived in a single family home out of state. Verde at Howard Square has been an awesome place to be while I decide if I want another house or not. I definitely plan to renew my lease at least for another year. The staff, ALL the staff, have been incredibly helpful and friendly. I work in property management and know it is a very difficult job. My thanks for a job well done at Verde!
