(April 8, 2023, 5:39 pm)I served the first Mass at St. Bart’s in 1959. I served as the Lead Altarboy and Head Sacristan. This is a fantastic parish. I married my bride in 1969 at St. Bart’s. My bride and I grew up in this Church. It is a part of our history.

(October 12, 2018, 7:09 pm)This is a great parish. Excellent priests, engaged parishioners. Most Masses are like you'll find at other parishes - traditional music, etc. If you want a traditional Catholic Mass experience, you can find it here. However, St. Barts also has a very non-standard Sunday evening (8:00) Mass in which a rock/praise band sings contemporary Christian songs. The band is amazingly good. Some people don't think this music belongs in a Catholic Church. If you're one of those people, try one of the other Masses, but you'll probably find the 8:00 P.M. Mass to be a wonderful, uplifting, joyous experience, fully consistent with the Catholic faith. The priest at 8:00 is usually Msgr. John Enzler, the CEO of Catholic Charities of Washington. His homilies are terrific. Nothing against other parishes, but this is by far the best church experience I've ever had.

(August 27, 2017, 9:25 pm)Highly recommend the "8PM Rocks" service for those who like contemporary worship services. Excellent professional choir and great congregational participation. Msgr. John Enzler is usually the celebrant and is very inspiring.
