(August 25, 2022, 10:47 am)The Great Falls Tavern Visitor Center is a visitor center for the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal. It is housed in the Crommelin House, which was formerly an inn for travelers along the canal. There is no store or anything to buy. There is an exhibit with information about the canal and locks, as well as a cancelation station for NPS stamps of the C&O Canal and several locks.

(March 23, 2022, 12:35 pm)Great hike, so many beautiful views. I brought my dog so next time I'll have to leave her st hoke sp I can check out the goat trails. Lots of variety in the terrain. Lotta frogs there when I visited to haha

(September 4, 2021, 10:32 pm)While a really nice place to hike, bike, and walk, several trails are closed off likely due to all the recent rain we've had. For what it's worth, strangely the campgrounds sign that we passed also had a warning for a recent possible rabies infected animal

(July 23, 2021, 6:54 pm)Personable, knowledgeable park guides brought the history of this section of the canal alive. We even got to see a working lock! The many benches along this section were welcome pauses in our bike ride.
