  The grand opening tasting was delicious! My family and I ate EVERYTHING- and we're picky lol! I love your Peanutbutter Soup!

  So, this new Ghanaian restaurant opened quite recently and of course i had to do my due diligence. All in all i came out of the experience pretty impressed with what i ordered. I decided to do take out. I ordered Jollof rice w/chicken, waakye w/fish and goat, kelewele, and Tsofi. I have also had their TZ very good, the plantain and beans was ok. Everything was very delicious and plentiful, easily the best waakye and jollof rice i have had in the DMV and i have tried most of the Ghanaian restaurants. It was pretty tasty and plentiful, service was efficient as you have the option to call in to place your order to go. The jollof and waakye was decently priced, but some of the items such as fufu, banku etc were much more expensive on average than other Ghanaian restaurants. I will be there next week to try the banku, fufu etc.. Check them out you will be pleased

  It's awesome to have a Ghanaian restaurant in the area. The place is clean l, and the person who served us was friendly, and checked in on us. I had the Bank I and okro stew with fish goat and crab and it was delicious. My partner has boiled yam woth tilapia and shoot, stew, and fresh pepper. He really enjoyed that too. They didn't have a few things that were on the menu, and didn't do tap water in glasses so you had to buy a bottle. That is understandable though becaise it's a newer place. All in all, it was a great experience and i will definitely be returning!!

  True to its name! They serve authentic West African delicacies with a smile. My family and I walked in 14 deep on a Saturday evening. We were all starving! Sonia (the chef) and Sam (her husband), were ready for the challenge and served us delicious food, beautifully presented. Shout out to the servers and assistants in the kitchen as well! We were all highly satisfied with the experience. I would definitely return and highly recommend this establishment.

  The food is authentic, very tasteful,satisfying, and worth every penny! On the other had the customer service are friendly, yet professional. Other than it being a carry-out, there is a dine-in section. If you have never been to west Africa, Hunger Tamer is as close is it gets when it comes to food!
